Insect Repellent is a Dead Island Act III Laboratory side quest. This side quest becomes available during the main quest Pure Blood from Dr. West. In the office located in the A2 hallway, talk to the scientist, Dr. Lachance. He shares an office with Sebastian. The hero entered here before to send an email to Sebastian's parents in the quest Message of Love.

Dr. Lachance says they have created a formula that makes someone temporarily invisible to the undead. To complete the formula, he needs Icaridin from the Chemical Warehouse attached to the main lab.

The workshop's back door is open if the hero has completed the quest Substance of Matter. Enter through the back and defeat the Walkers inside. Find the Icaridin on a shelf in the main room on the right (as entering from the back door).

Return to the lab and deliver the product to Lechance. He rewards the hero with the Detox Gun Mod. If the hero come backs to Lechance later and he will have produced some Deo-Bomb grenades for the hero.^[1]
